The National Minority Supplier Development Council, Inc.® (NMSDC) presents each prestigious “Corporation of the Year” Award to recognize a company’s exemplary achievements in the area of minority supplier development.  This award is regarded as the most significant honor to a major corporation for the utilization of Asian, Black, Hispanic and Native American suppliers. In winning the award, a company demonstrates exceptional strength in areas critical to maintaining a solid minority supplier development process.  This award is presented at the Awards Banquet during the NMSDC Annual Conference.

This award is administered by the NMSDC certified MBEs under the auspices of the NMSDC National Office.


The Regional Councils and MBEICs submit jointly signed nomination forms (via e-mail or mail) to the Chairperson of the Corporation of the Year Committee.

Q: Who can nominate a corporation?
A: A Regional Council President and the MBEIC Chair jointly sign the nomination form. 

Q: How many corporations can be nominated?
A: There is no limit, as long as the criteria are met.

Q: What are the criteria for nomination?
A: A corporation must be in good standing with the NMSDC and must have received
    a corporation of the year award or recognition from a Regional Council in the last three years.
